This wood-fired yunomi was blasted with layers and layers of wood ash during its 3 days in the kiln. The cooler layers stayed grey and purple, blending with copper in the atmosphere and lending texture to the surface. And at the bottom, the ash got hot enough to melt into a beautiful cerulean glass.
