wood-fired oak leaf bottle vase

Though the inlaid oak leaf drawing on this porcelain bottle vase was largely obscured by ash trails during the 4-day wood firing, there's still plenty of intriguing surface happening! The vase was fired on its side on a trio of sea shells which left their impression behind, as well as causing a gorgeous green drip gem of liquified ash in their center. On the opposite side, ash trails fade from yellow to purple to grey as they drip around the walls.
